Pair of Beige Brown Flower Patches Iron Sew On Clothes Bag Flowers Patch Badge

Bring warm, natural colours and beautiful floral detail to your clothing and accessories with this pair of beige and brown embroidered flower patches. Featuring an elegant arrangement of roses, flower buds, leaves and stems, the patches combine warm brown and golden-brown shades with soft beige, cream and gold-toned embroidery.

Designed as a coordinating mirrored pair, one patch faces left and the other faces right. This makes them especially suitable for creating balanced decorative designs on jackets, dresses, jeans, shirts, bags and many other fabric items. They can be positioned together as a matching pair or used separately on different garments and accessories.

Each individual patch measures approximately 6.9 cm Width x 11.8 cm Height.

The detailed embroidery gives the design plenty of texture and character. Carefully stitched outlines define the petals and leaves, while smaller contrasting stitches add extra detail throughout the flowers. The combination of beige and earthy brown shades gives these patches a versatile appearance that works particularly well with denim, cream, black, brown, khaki and other neutral colours.

A Beautiful Way to Personalise Clothing

These floral patches offer an easy way to transform an ordinary garment into something much more distinctive. They can be used to customise new clothing, refresh an older favourite or add decorative detail to something that feels a little too plain.

Try them on:

  • Denim jackets and waistcoats
  • Jeans and trousers
  • Shirts and blouses
  • T-shirts and tops
  • Dresses and skirts
  • Coats and jackets
  • Shorts
  • Handbags and tote bags
  • Backpacks
  • Fabric accessories
  • Sewing, craft and upcycling projects

They can also be used creatively to cover a small hole, stain, mark or worn section of suitable fabric. Instead of simply repairing the area, the embroidered flowers allow you to turn it into an attractive feature.

Creative Ways to Use the Pair

As the two patches are designed to complement one another, there are many different ways to arrange them.

For a symmetrical jacket design, place one patch on either side of the front of a denim jacket. Their tall floral shape also works well alongside lapels, pockets or towards the bottom corners of a jacket.

For jeans or trousers, try positioning the flowers along the outer legs, beside the front pockets or around the back pockets. One patch could also be placed higher on one leg with the second positioned lower on the opposite leg for a less symmetrical look.

On a dress, blouse or shirt, the pair can be positioned around the neckline or shoulders to create decorative floral detailing without needing to embroider directly onto the garment.

The patches are also ideal for bags. Place one on each side of a tote bag, arrange both together on the front of a backpack or use a single patch to brighten up a plain handbag.

Another idea is to divide the pair between two coordinating items. Use one on a denim jacket and the second on a bag, hat or pair of jeans to create a subtle matching theme.

You can even combine them with other embroidered patches to create your own larger floral arrangement.

How to Iron On the Flower Patches

The patches have an iron-on backing, making them convenient to attach to many suitable fabrics. Always check the care label of your garment before applying heat, as some delicate, waterproof, coated or synthetic materials may not be suitable for ironing.

1. Prepare the fabric

Make sure the fabric is clean and completely dry. Place the garment on a firm, flat and heat-resistant surface.

Iron the area briefly before positioning the patch. This removes moisture and creases and provides a smooth surface for application.

2. Position your patches

Place each patch exactly where you would like it, with the embroidered floral design facing upwards and the adhesive side against the fabric.

When applying both patches to the same item, take a moment to check their position and spacing before ironing. As they are a mirrored pair, measuring from a seam, pocket or edge can help you achieve an even arrangement.

3. Protect the embroidery

Place a thin cotton cloth or pressing cloth over the patch. Do not place the hot iron directly onto the embroidered threads, as the protective cloth helps prevent damage from direct heat.

4. Apply heat

Set your iron to a suitable medium-to-high temperature for the garment. Do not use steam.

Press the iron firmly onto the covered patch for approximately 20–30 seconds. Apply steady downward pressure rather than continuously sliding the iron backwards and forwards.

Because each patch measures 11.8 cm in height, make sure heat and pressure are applied across the entire design. Pay particular attention to the tips of the leaves, flower edges and other narrower sections.

5. Heat from the reverse where possible

If the garment allows, turn it inside out and place the iron over the reverse side of the patch area. Apply firm heat for approximately another 20–30 seconds.

Heating from both sides can help the adhesive bond securely with the fabric.

6. Allow to cool

Leave the patch completely undisturbed until it has cooled. Do not immediately pull at the edges, as the adhesive needs time to set as it cools.

Once cool, gently check the edges. If you find an area that has not fully attached, cover the patch again with the cotton cloth and repeat the heating process on that section.

For the strongest attachment, avoid washing the garment immediately after application.

How to Sew On the Flower Patches

The patches can also be sewn on, either instead of ironing or in addition to using the iron-on backing.

Sewing is a particularly good option for fabrics that cannot safely withstand the temperature of an iron. It is also recommended for items such as bags, jeans and jackets that may receive frequent use.

Start by placing the patch in your chosen position. Secure it temporarily with pins or a few loose stitches so that it cannot move while you work.

Choose a thread that closely matches the beige or brown embroidered border if you would like your stitches to blend into the design.

Thread a hand-sewing needle and tie a secure knot at the end. Begin from the reverse side of the garment so that the knot remains hidden.

Make small, neat stitches around the outer embroidered edge of the patch. Follow the shape carefully, working around the leaves, flowers and curved sections until the entire patch is securely attached.

Keep your stitches relatively close together, particularly around narrow sections and pointed leaves, as these areas are more likely to catch during everyday wear.

Once you have worked all the way around the patch, finish on the reverse side of the fabric and secure the thread with a firm knot.

Iron On and Sew On for Extra Security

For frequently worn clothing and accessories, you can use both attachment methods.

First iron the patch into position following the instructions above. Once it has completely cooled, add several small stitches around the outer edges.

This gives you the convenience of the iron-on adhesive while the additional stitching helps keep the edges securely attached during regular wear and washing.

This method is particularly useful for jeans, jackets, backpacks and bags.

Which Fabrics Are Suitable?

The iron-on method generally works best on fabrics that can safely tolerate the necessary heat, such as many cotton and denim garments.

For delicate materials, stretchy fabrics, waterproof fabrics, coated materials or heat-sensitive synthetics, sewing is usually the better option.

Always check the garment manufacturer's care instructions before applying an iron. If you are unsure whether the fabric can tolerate the required heat, attach the patch by sewing instead.

Washing and Looking After Your Patches

Once attached, a little extra care can help keep the embroidered flowers looking their best.

Where possible, turn the garment inside out before washing. Use a moderate wash temperature and avoid unnecessarily harsh washing cycles.

Allow the garment to dry naturally where practical.

After repeated washing and wear, occasionally check the edges of the patches. If an ironed edge starts to lift, it can usually be secured again with heat or reinforced with a few small stitches.
