🐉 Red Chinese Dragon Patch Embroidery Badge Iron Sew On Trousers Coat T Shirt Bags

Size: Approx. 10.7 cm Width × 7.9 cm Height

Bring powerful symbolism and bold colour to your clothing and accessories with this striking Red Chinese Dragon embroidered patch. Featuring a fierce traditional dragon head in deep crimson tones with golden horns, flowing whiskers, and sharp white teeth, this patch captures classic East Asian dragon imagery in richly layered embroidery.

The detailed stitching gives the dragon real depth and movement, from the curling moustache to the flame-like mane. Red represents strength, prosperity, and good fortune, while the dragon itself symbolises protection, wisdom, and power — making this patch both visually dramatic and meaningful.

Its medium-large size makes it ideal as a centrepiece on jackets, coats, hoodies, trousers, denim jeans, backpacks, tote bags, messenger bags, and statement T-shirts. It also works beautifully for custom streetwear, cosplay outfits, festival fashion, martial arts uniforms, biker jackets, or handmade craft projects.

Whether you’re covering a worn area, repairing fabric, or simply customising your wardrobe, this embroidered dragon instantly transforms plain clothing into something bold and unique. Perfect for fans of Asian art, tattoo-style designs, fantasy fashion, anime-inspired looks, or anyone who loves standout embroidery.

This patch includes a heat-activated backing for quick iron-on application and can also be sewn for extra durability — especially on items that see frequent wear.

🔥 Extra Detailed Iron-On Instructions (Heat Transfer Method)

Best suited for cotton, denim, canvas, twill, and polyester blends.
Not recommended for nylon, leather, silk, vinyl, waterproof fabrics, or highly elastic materials (sew-only for those).

Step-by-step:

  1. Place your garment on a hard, flat heat-safe surface such as an ironing board or wooden table. Avoid soft surfaces like beds or sofas.

  2. Set your iron to Cotton / Medium-High (around 170–180°C / 340–360°F).
Make sure steam is completely OFF.

  3. Smooth the fabric so there are no wrinkles.

  4. Position the dragon patch adhesive side down exactly where you want it.

  5. Cover the patch with a thin cotton cloth, tea towel, or baking parchment to protect the embroidery threads.

  6. Press the iron straight down firmly for 20–25 seconds.
Do not move or slide the iron — apply steady pressure only.

  7. Lift the iron and repeat over each section of the patch, paying close attention to the horns, whiskers, edges, and curved areas.

  8. Turn the garment inside out and press directly behind the patch for another 15–20 seconds to help the adhesive penetrate deeper into the fabric fibres.

  9. Lay flat and allow everything to cool completely for 2–3 minutes. Do not touch or reposition while warm.

  10. Once cool, gently test the edges. If any area lifts, repeat pressing for an additional 10–15 seconds.

  11. Leave the garment flat for at least 24 hours before wearing or washing to allow the adhesive to fully cure.

Washing Care

Wash inside out on a gentle cycle using cool or warm water. Air drying is recommended to extend patch life.

🧵 Sew-On Instructions (Best for Long-Term Hold)

Recommended for trousers, coats, bags, and heavily worn items.

  1. Position the patch and secure with pins or temporary fabric glue.

  2. Thread a needle with strong polyester or cotton thread (black, red, or clear works well).

  3. Starting from inside the garment, bring the needle up through the edge of the patch so knots remain hidden.

  4. Stitch around the entire outline using small whip stitches or straight stitches spaced about 3–5mm apart.

  5. Follow the curves carefully around the dragon’s horns and whiskers.

  6. Pull stitches snug but not tight to avoid puckering.

  7. Finish on the inside with a double knot and trim excess thread.

For backpacks, jackets, or trousers, adding a second line of stitching slightly inside the first gives extra security.

Pro Tip

Many people iron the patch first to hold it perfectly in place, then sew around the border once cooled. This gives instant positioning plus long-term durability — ideal for outerwear and bags.
