Iron-On Instructions

Please note: Some delicate fabrics, waterproof materials, nylon, leather, vinyl and heavily textured fabrics may not be suitable for ironing. In these cases we recommend sewing the patch instead.

Step 1

Preheat your iron to the Cotton setting (approximately 150–170°C) with NO steam.

Step 2

Ensure the garment is clean, dry and laid flat on a firm heat-resistant surface.

Step 3

Position the patch exactly where you would like it.

Step 4

Place a thin cotton cloth, tea towel or baking parchment over the patch to protect both the embroidery and your garment.

Step 5

Press the iron firmly onto the patch for 30–40 seconds without moving it around.

Step 6

Turn the garment inside out if possible and press the reverse side for another 20–30 seconds.

Step 7

Allow the patch to cool completely before checking the edges.

Step 8

If any corners lift slightly, simply repeat the process for another 10–15 seconds.

For clothing that will be washed regularly or used heavily, sewing around the border after ironing is recommended for maximum durability.

Sewing Instructions

For the strongest and longest-lasting attachment, sewing is the preferred method.

Hand Sewing

1. Position the patch where required.
2. Hold it in place with pins or fabric clips.
3. Thread a needle with matching polyester thread.
4. Use a small whip stitch or running stitch around the outer embroidered border.
5. Tie off securely on the reverse side.
6. Trim any excess thread.

Sewing Machine

If your machine allows:

• Select a narrow zigzag stitch or straight stitch close to the embroidered edge.
• Sew slowly around the border.
• Backstitch at the beginning and end for added strength.

Washing Advice

• Wait 24 hours after ironing before washing.
• Wash garments inside out whenever possible.
• Machine wash on a gentle cycle.
• Avoid bleach.
• Air drying is recommended.
• If tumble drying, use a low heat setting.
• Do not iron directly onto the embroidered surface.
