Pair of Cream Flower Patches – Iron On or Sew On Embroidered Floral Appliqués

Bring a soft, elegant floral finish to your favourite clothes and accessories with this beautiful Pair of Cream Flower Patches. Featuring an intricate arrangement of embroidered flowers, leaves and flowing stems, these decorative appliqués are ideal for transforming plain garments or adding a distinctive finishing touch to a sewing or upcycling project.

The gentle cream colouring gives the patches a versatile, understated appearance that works beautifully with denim as well as black, white, beige, brown and other neutral fabrics.

Size

You will receive 2 coordinating Cream Flower Patches.

Each individual patch measures approximately:

5 cm Width × 11.8 cm Height

Their elongated shape makes them especially useful for decorating areas such as jacket fronts, jean legs, sleeves and alongside pockets.

Intricate Floral Embroidery

Each patch features a vertical arrangement made up of several different embroidered flowers rather than one simple bloom.

A large statement flower forms the lower part of the design, surrounded by curved leaves and stems. Moving upwards, smaller blossoms create additional detail before the arrangement finishes with another delicate flower at the top.

The different shapes and embroidery stitches give the design plenty of texture, allowing the petals, leaves and smaller flowers to remain clearly defined.

The result is an attractive botanical appliqué with a traditional embroidered feel that can work with everything from casual denim to more decorative clothing.

Designed as a Mirrored Pair

These patches complement one another, with the floral arrangements facing in opposite directions. This makes them perfect for creating a balanced or symmetrical design.

Try placing them on opposite sides of a denim jacket, down each leg of a pair of jeans, beside two pockets or on either side of a skirt or dress.

You don't have to use them together, however. Each patch is a complete floral arrangement, so you can use one on a jacket and save the other for a bag, pair of jeans or another project.

Beautiful Against Denim

Cream embroidery and denim make a particularly attractive combination. The lighter floral design provides contrast against traditional blue or dark denim without being excessively bright.

These patches could be used to personalise:

  • Denim jackets and waistcoats
  • Jeans and trousers
  • Skirts and dresses
  • Shirts and suitable tops
  • Jacket sleeves and pockets
  • Fabric handbags and tote bags
  • Backpacks
  • Handmade clothing
  • Sewing and textile projects
  • Upcycled garments

They can also be incorporated into larger decorative arrangements alongside other embroidered patches.

Refresh Older Clothes

Patches are a great way to give clothing you already own a completely different appearance.

Add the pair to a plain denim jacket to create a floral feature, decorate an older pair of jeans or use them to give a simple fabric bag some extra character.

Depending on the garment and positioning, an embroidered patch can also provide a decorative way to cover certain small marks, blemishes or worn areas while adding something new to the item.

How to Iron On

Always check the garment's care label before using an iron. Iron-on application should only be used on materials that can safely tolerate the necessary heat.

For delicate, coated, waterproof, stretchy or heat-sensitive materials, we recommend sewing the patches in place instead.

  1. Place your garment on a firm, flat and heat-resistant surface.
  2. Ensure the fabric is clean, completely dry and free from creases.
  3. Position the cream flower patch where you would like it. If applying both patches together, arrange the complete pair before starting so you can check their spacing and alignment.
  4. Set your iron to a suitable medium-to-high heat setting for the fabric. Do not use steam.
  5. Cover the patch with a thin cotton cloth, pressing cloth or clean tea towel. Avoid allowing the hot iron to make direct contact with the embroidery.
  6. Press firmly over the covered patch for approximately 20–30 seconds.
  7. Lift the iron rather than repeatedly sliding it backwards and forwards across the design.
  8. If suitable for the garment, turn it inside out and apply heat to the reverse of the patch for approximately 20–30 seconds.
  9. Leave the garment flat and allow the patch to cool completely.
  10. Once cool, gently check around the edges. If any section has not bonded securely, cover it again and carefully repeat the heating process for a short period.

Iron temperatures and application times can vary between fabrics and irons, so adjust accordingly.

For frequently worn or washed garments such as denim jeans and jackets, adding a few stitches around the patch after ironing can provide extra security.

How to Sew On

These patches can also be attached by hand or with a suitable sewing machine.

Sewing is an excellent choice for denim, thicker fabrics and garments that cannot safely be ironed.

Hand-Sewing Instructions

  1. Decide exactly where you want the patch positioned.
  2. Secure it temporarily with pins, fabric clips or a few loose holding stitches.
  3. Choose a strong coordinating thread.
  4. Start from the reverse side of the garment so the initial knot remains hidden.
  5. Make small, neat stitches around the embroidered outer edge of the patch.
  6. Follow the natural outline of the flowers, leaves and stems.
  7. Pay particular attention to narrow sections and the tips of leaves so the complete design sits neatly against the fabric.
  8. Continue until all outer sections are securely attached.
  9. Finish with a strong knot on the reverse of the garment and trim away excess thread.

For heavy denim, a denim or heavyweight sewing needle can make attaching the patches easier.

A Versatile Neutral Floral Design

The cream colouring makes this pair particularly versatile. While colourful floral patches can dominate a garment, these offer a softer way to introduce embroidered detail.

They can create an attractive contrast on dark blue or black clothing while giving beige, white and other pale fabrics a more subtle tonal appearance.

Whether you're customising a favourite denim jacket, updating jeans, decorating a bag or creating something completely new, this pair offers plenty of possibilities.
