Pair of Green Flower Patches – Iron On or Sew On Denim Jeans Jacket Floral Patches
Add a distinctive botanical touch to clothing, denim and accessories with this beautiful Pair of Green Flower Patches. Featuring an intricate arrangement of embroidered flowers and leaves, these decorative appliqués combine rich olive green, khaki and lighter green tones with contrasting gold-coloured flower centres.
Each patch features several different flowers arranged vertically, creating a detailed floral design that is much more striking than a simple single-flower patch. The large flower towards the bottom forms the focal point, while additional blooms, small blossoms and sweeping leaves continue upwards to create an elegant elongated shape.
The pair has a coordinating mirrored design, making these patches especially attractive when positioned opposite one another on jeans, denim jackets, shirts, dresses and other clothing.
Size
You will receive 2 Green Flower Patches.
Each individual patch measures approximately:
5 cm Width × 11.8 cm Height
Their tall and relatively narrow shape makes them ideal for decorating areas such as jean legs, jacket panels, pockets and seams where a larger or wider appliqué may be difficult to position.
Detailed Green Floral Embroidery
The design combines several complementary green shades to give the flowers and foliage plenty of definition.
Deep olive and khaki green embroidery creates the leaves and darker sections, while lighter green and cream-toned stitching highlights individual petals and smaller flowers. The centres of the flowers are finished with attractive gold-coloured embroidery, adding a subtle contrast to the natural green colour palette.
The embroidered lines running through the larger petals give the flowers additional texture and detail, helping the design stand out when attached to clothing.
Perfect for Denim Jeans & Jackets
These Green Flower Patches are an excellent choice for customising denim jeans and denim jackets.
Try positioning the pair down opposite jean legs, alongside front or back pockets, on either side of a jacket or across matching jacket panels. The earthy green embroidery can complement traditional blue denim while also looking striking against black, grey, cream, beige and other neutral fabrics.
They can also be used on many other suitable fabric items, including T-shirts, shirts, dresses, skirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, coats, bags, handbags, backpacks and fabric accessories.
Coordinating Mirrored Pair
One of the most attractive features of these patches is their complementary mirrored design.
Rather than receiving two identical patches facing in the same direction, the pair can be positioned opposite one another to create a more balanced and intentional appearance.
This makes them particularly suitable for placing:
- On opposite sides of a denim jacket
- Down the legs of jeans
- Beside front or back pockets
- On either side of a shirt or blouse
- Around the front of a dress
- On opposite sides of a handbag or fabric bag
- On matching clothing or craft projects
Alternatively, each patch can be used separately as an individual floral decoration.
Great for Upcycling & Customising Clothing
These embroidered flower patches offer an easy way to give plain or older clothing a fresh appearance.
A simple pair of jeans or denim jacket can be transformed by adding detailed floral embroidery, allowing you to create something more individual without replacing the garment.
Where suitable, a patch may also be positioned over a small mark, worn section or minor imperfection, turning the area into a decorative feature.
They are also ideal for sewing projects, dressmaking, costume making, textile crafts and other creative projects.
How to Iron On
Before applying the patches with an iron, always check the care label of your garment and make sure the material can safely withstand heat.
Denim, cotton and other heat-resistant fabrics are generally more suitable for iron-on application. Delicate, waterproof, coated, highly elasticated or heat-sensitive materials may not be suitable, in which case the patches should be sewn on instead.
Iron-On Instructions
- Make sure the garment or fabric is clean and completely dry.
- Place it on a firm, flat and heat-resistant surface.
- Position the Green Flower Patch exactly where you would like it. When applying both patches as a pair, check their alignment and spacing before beginning.
- Set your iron to a medium to high temperature suitable for the garment's fabric and switch off the steam function.
- Cover the patch completely with a thin cotton cloth, pressing cloth or clean tea towel. Avoid placing the hot iron directly against the embroidered surface.
- Press the iron firmly onto the covered patch for approximately 20–30 seconds. Apply steady downward pressure rather than continuously moving the iron backwards and forwards.
- Where possible, turn the garment inside out and apply the iron to the reverse side of the patch for approximately another 20–30 seconds.
- Leave the garment lying flat and allow the patch and fabric to cool completely.
- Once cool, gently check around the edges to make sure the patch has bonded securely.
- If any section has not fully attached, replace the protective cloth and carefully apply heat again for a short period.
Iron temperatures and fabrics vary, so application times may need to be adjusted. Take care not to use excessive heat that could damage the garment or embroidery.
For denim jeans, jackets and other garments that are worn or washed regularly, adding a few stitches after ironing can provide additional security.
How to Sew On
These Green Flower Patches can also be sewn directly onto your chosen garment or accessory. Sewing is particularly useful for denim and heavier fabrics, as well as materials that cannot safely withstand the heat required for ironing.
You can sew the patches on by hand or use a sewing machine if preferred.
Hand Sewing Instructions
- Decide exactly where you would like each patch to sit.
- Position the patch on the garment and temporarily secure it using pins, fabric clips or a few loose holding stitches.
- Select a thread that coordinates with the green embroidered edging or matches the garment underneath.
- Thread your needle and secure the end of the thread with a knot.
- Begin sewing from the reverse side of the fabric so the starting knot remains hidden.
- Make small, neat stitches around the embroidered outer edge of the patch.
- Follow the contours of the flowers and leaves, making sure the narrower sections of the design are also securely attached.
- Continue around the patch until it sits firmly and evenly against the garment.
- Finish on the reverse side and secure the thread with a strong knot.
- Remove any temporary pins, clips or holding stitches.
When sewing onto thick denim, a strong needle designed for denim or heavier fabrics is recommended.
Add Botanical Style to Your Clothing
The combination of olive green, khaki, lighter green and gold-coloured embroidery gives these patches a distinctive botanical appearance that works particularly well with denim and neutral-coloured clothing.
At approximately 5 cm wide × 11.8 cm high, each patch has enough size to make a noticeable decorative feature while maintaining an elegant, narrow shape.
Use the two patches together for a symmetrical floral arrangement or separately to customise different garments and accessories.
Whether you are refreshing an older denim jacket, personalising jeans, decorating a bag or working on a new sewing project, this pair of Green Flower Patches provides an easy way to introduce detailed floral embroidery, texture and colour.
