Pair of Peach Flower Patches – Iron On or Sew On Embroidered Floral Appliqués
Add a warm floral touch to clothing, accessories and craft projects with this beautiful Pair of Peach Flower Patches. Featuring an elegant arrangement of embroidered blossoms, sweeping leaves and decorative stems, these patches combine soft peach tones with deeper peach-orange detailing and metallic gold-coloured flower centres.
The patches form a complementary mirrored pair, making them particularly attractive when positioned symmetrically on a jacket, pair of jeans, dress, skirt or other garment.
Size
You will receive 2 Peach Flower Patches.
Each individual patch measures approximately:
5 cm Width × 11.8 cm Height
Their tall, slender shape gives you plenty of embroidered detail without taking up too much width, making them ideal for jacket fronts, trouser legs, sleeves and other narrower areas.
Beautiful Peach Floral Embroidery
Each patch contains a complete botanical arrangement rather than a single flower.
The design begins with a large five-petal flower towards the bottom, beautifully embroidered in soft peach thread and finished with a contrasting gold-coloured centre. Flowing stems and darker peach leaves lead upwards through a cluster of smaller flowers to another detailed blossom, before finishing with a delicate flower at the top.
The mixture of peach, apricot and warm orange-peach shades gives the embroidery depth, while the gold-coloured centres provide a subtle decorative highlight.
Different stitch directions and textures have been used across the petals and leaves, helping the individual elements of the design stand out.
A Coordinating Mirrored Pair
These patches have been designed to face in opposite directions, allowing them to create a balanced decorative arrangement when used together.
They would look especially effective:
- On either side of a denim jacket
- Down the legs of a pair of jeans
- Beside front or back pockets
- On opposite sides of a skirt
- On jacket sleeves
- On the front of a shirt or blouse
- As matching decorations on bags
- As part of a larger sewing or textile project
Alternatively, use the patches separately and decorate two completely different items.
Give Denim a Softer Floral Look
The warm peach colouring contrasts particularly well against blue, black and white denim, making these patches a lovely choice for customising jeans and jackets.
They can transform a simple denim garment into something much more individual without completely covering the original fabric. The combination of delicate flowers and substantial embroidery gives them a decorative appearance that works equally well on newer garments and vintage-inspired clothing.
They're also a creative option for upcycling older clothes, giving an unworn jacket, pair of jeans or bag a completely different character.
Suitable for Clothing, Bags & Crafts
These versatile embroidered appliqués aren't limited to denim. Depending on the fabric and application method, they can be used to personalise a wide variety of textile items including jackets, jeans, trousers, skirts, dresses, shirts, suitable hoodies, fabric bags, backpacks, tote bags and handmade craft projects.
They may also be positioned over certain small marks or worn areas as a decorative way of refreshing an otherwise usable garment.
Iron-On Application Instructions
Before ironing, always check the garment's care label to make sure the material can safely withstand the required heat.
For delicate, waterproof, coated, highly elastic or heat-sensitive materials, sewing the patches on is the safer option.
- Place the garment on a firm, flat and heat-resistant surface.
- Make sure the area where the patch will be applied is clean, completely dry and smooth.
- Position the patch exactly where you would like it. When applying both patches as a pair, arrange both before ironing so you can check that the positioning looks balanced.
- Set the iron to a suitable medium-to-high temperature for the garment fabric and switch off the steam function.
- Place a thin cotton cloth, pressing cloth or clean tea towel over the embroidered patch. Avoid placing the hot iron directly onto the embroidery.
- Press the iron firmly down over the covered patch for approximately 20–30 seconds.
- Rather than continuously sliding the iron around, concentrate on applying steady, even pressure.
- If the garment allows, carefully turn it inside out and apply heat from the reverse side for approximately 20–30 seconds.
- Leave the patch and garment lying flat until they have cooled completely.
- Once cool, gently check around the edges. If necessary, cover the patch again and carefully repeat the process for a short period.
Because irons and fabrics vary, application temperatures and times are approximate.
For garments that will receive frequent wear or washing, such as jeans and jackets, adding a few stitches after ironing can provide additional security.
Sew-On Application Instructions
The patches can also be sewn directly onto your chosen garment or accessory. This is an excellent option for denim and for fabrics that should not be exposed to high temperatures.
They can be attached either by hand or with a suitable sewing machine.
For hand sewing:
- Arrange the patch in the desired position.
- Hold it temporarily in place with pins, fabric clips or a few loose stitches.
- Choose a strong thread in a coordinating shade.
- Begin stitching from the reverse of the fabric so your starting knot remains hidden.
- Work small, neat stitches around the embroidered outer edges.
- Follow the contours of the flowers, leaves and stems for a secure and tidy finish.
- Make sure the narrow ends of the leaves and stems are firmly attached so they don't lift away from the garment.
- Once you have stitched around the entire design, finish securely on the reverse and trim away any excess thread.
When attaching the patches to thick jeans or denim jackets, a strong needle designed for denim or heavyweight fabrics may be easier to use.
Ideal for Creative Upcycling
Instead of throwing away an older garment because it feels plain or dated, these floral patches offer an easy way to reinvent it. Their warm peach colouring works beautifully with neutral fabrics as well as contrasting darker colours.
Use the pair for a coordinated symmetrical design, combine them with other floral appliqués to create a larger arrangement, or use each patch separately.
With their detailed embroidery, unusual elongated shape and warm mixture of peach and gold-coloured tones, they make an eye-catching addition to both everyday clothing and creative sewing projects.
