4. Set the iron to a suitable medium-to-high temperature for the fabric and switch off the steam.
5. Place a thin cotton cloth, pressing cloth or clean tea towel over the patch to protect the embroidery.
6. Press the iron firmly onto the covered patch for approximately 20–30 seconds. Avoid continuously moving the iron backwards and forwards.
7. Where possible, turn the garment inside out and apply heat to the reverse side for approximately another 20–30 seconds.
8. Leave the garment lying flat and allow the patch to cool completely before checking the bond.
9. Once cool, carefully check the edges. If any section has not fully attached, cover the patch again and repeat the process for a short period.

Different irons and fabrics require different temperatures and application times, so these instructions should be treated as a general guide.

For frequently washed garments such as T-shirts, jeans and jackets, adding a few stitches around the patch after ironing can provide additional security.

Sew-On Application

The patches can also be sewn directly onto your chosen garment or accessory.

Sewing is a particularly good option for denim, bags, frequently washed clothing and materials that are unsuitable for high-temperature ironing.

Hand-Sewing Instructions
