Pair of Purple Flower Patches – Iron On or Sew On Denim Jeans Jacket Floral Patches

Add rich colour and decorative detail to clothing with this beautiful Pair of Purple Flower Patches. Featuring an eye-catching arrangement of embroidered flowers and leaves, these floral appliqués combine several shades of purple, violet and lilac with contrasting gold-coloured flower centres.

Each patch features multiple flowers arranged vertically, including a large statement flower, a detailed middle bloom, smaller blossoms and sweeping embroidered leaves. The combination of dark purple and lighter lilac stitching creates depth and texture throughout the design, while the gold-coloured centres provide a striking finishing touch.

The two patches form a coordinating mirrored pair, making them particularly suitable for customising denim jeans, jackets and other clothing. Position them opposite one another for a balanced floral arrangement or use each patch separately on different garments and accessories.

Size

You will receive 2 Purple Flower Patches.

Each individual patch measures approximately:

5 cm Width × 11.8 cm Height

The tall and relatively narrow shape makes these patches ideal for areas where you want a noticeable embroidered design without using an especially wide patch.

Detailed Purple Floral Embroidery

Each patch contains a collection of flowers rather than a single simple motif. The design features a large flower towards the bottom, a decorative flower above, several smaller blossoms and embroidered leaves that connect the floral arrangement together.

Different shades of purple are used throughout, ranging from deeper plum and violet tones to lighter lilac embroidery. This variation helps highlight the petals and gives the design a more detailed appearance.

The gold-coloured embroidered flower centres contrast beautifully against the purple tones and provide an attractive decorative accent.

Perfect for Denim Jeans & Jackets

These patches are particularly well suited to denim clothing. Try adding them to the legs of a pair of jeans, beside front or back pockets, on either side of a denim jacket or across the front or back of a garment.

The purple embroidery can provide an attractive contrast against traditional blue denim, black denim, grey fabrics and many other colours.

They are not limited to denim and can also be used for decorating T-shirts, shirts, dresses, skirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, coats, bags, handbags, backpacks and other suitable fabric items.

Coordinating Mirrored Pair

The two patches have complementary mirrored designs, providing plenty of possibilities for symmetrical placement.

Position one patch on either side of a jacket, down opposite sides of a pair of jeans, alongside pockets or around the front of a shirt or dress.

Alternatively, the patches can be separated and used individually. Each design contains enough detail to work beautifully as a standalone floral appliqué.

Great for Upcycling & Clothing Customisation

Embroidered patches are an easy way to personalise everyday clothing and accessories. A simple pair of jeans or a plain denim jacket can be given a completely different look by adding decorative floral embroidery.

These patches are also ideal for upcycling older clothing. Where suitable, they can be positioned over small marks, worn areas or minor imperfections while adding an attractive decorative feature at the same time.

They can be used for sewing projects, dressmaking, costume making and many other textile crafts.

How to Iron On

Before using the iron-on method, always check the garment's care label and make sure the material can safely withstand the required heat.

Denim, cotton and similar heat-resistant fabrics are generally better suited to iron-on application than delicate or synthetic materials, but you should always follow the care instructions for the individual garment.

Waterproof, coated, highly elasticated, delicate or heat-sensitive fabrics may not be suitable for ironing. For these materials, sewing the patch in place is recommended.

Iron-On Instructions

  1. Make sure your jeans, jacket or other garment is clean and completely dry before beginning.
  2. Place the garment on a firm, flat and heat-resistant surface.
  3. Position the Purple Flower Patch exactly where you would like it. If applying both patches, check their spacing and alignment before applying any heat.
  4. Set your iron to a medium to high temperature appropriate for the fabric. Make sure the steam function is switched off.
  5. Cover the patch completely with a thin cotton cloth, pressing cloth or clean tea towel. This protects the embroidery from direct contact with the hot iron.
  6. Press the iron firmly over the covered patch for approximately 20–30 seconds, applying steady downward pressure rather than continuously moving the iron backwards and forwards.
  7. If possible, turn the garment inside out and press the reverse side of the patch for approximately another 20–30 seconds.
  8. Leave the garment lying flat and allow the patch and fabric to cool completely.
  9. Once cool, carefully check around the edges to make sure the patch has bonded securely.
  10. If an area has not fully attached, replace the protective cloth and carefully repeat the heating process for a short period.

Different irons and fabrics vary, so the exact temperature and application time required may differ. Always take care not to overheat either the patch or garment.

For jeans, jackets and other clothing that will receive frequent wear or regular washing, adding several stitches around the edges after ironing is recommended for extra security.

How to Sew On

These Purple Flower Patches can also be sewn directly onto your garment. Sewing is an excellent choice for denim and is particularly useful for items where you want a strong, secure attachment.

It is also the preferred option for materials that cannot safely withstand ironing.

The patches can be hand sewn or machine sewn depending on the garment and your preferred method.

Hand Sewing Instructions

  1. Decide exactly where you would like the patch to sit.
  2. Position it carefully and temporarily secure it using pins, fabric clips or a few loose holding stitches.
  3. Choose a thread that coordinates with the dark purple embroidered edging or matches the garment underneath.
  4. Thread your needle and secure the end of the thread with a knot.
  5. Begin from the reverse side of the garment so the starting knot remains hidden.
  6. Make small, neat stitches around the embroidered outer edge of the patch.
  7. Follow the contours of the flowers and leaves, paying particular attention to the smaller and narrower sections.
  8. Continue until the entire patch sits securely against the fabric.
  9. Finish on the reverse side of the garment and secure the thread with a firm knot.
  10. Remove any pins, clips or temporary holding stitches.

When sewing onto thicker denim, using a strong needle suitable for the fabric will make application easier.

Transform Plain Denim

These floral patches are a great way to turn an ordinary pair of jeans or a simple denim jacket into something much more distinctive.

Their 5 cm × 11.8 cm vertical shape works particularly well down the leg of jeans, beside pockets or on jacket panels. Use the mirrored pair together for a coordinated look or position them independently for a more individual arrangement.

The combination of deep purple, violet, lilac and gold-coloured embroidery creates an attractive contrast against both light and dark fabrics.

Whether you are customising something new, refreshing an older garment or working on your next sewing project, these Purple Flower Patches provide a simple way to introduce detailed floral embroidery.
