Pair of White Flower Patches – Iron On or Sew On Embroidered Floral Appliqués
Add an elegant floral finish to clothing, bags and craft projects with this beautiful Pair of White Flower Patches. Featuring an intricate arrangement of roses, flower buds, leaves and sweeping stems, these embroidered appliqués combine crisp white embroidery with attractive gold-coloured detailing for a classic and decorative appearance.
The patches are supplied as a coordinating mirrored pair, with one design facing left and the other facing right. This makes them particularly effective when positioned together to create a balanced floral arrangement on jackets, dresses, jeans, tops, bags and a wide variety of textile projects.
Each individual patch measures approximately 6.9 cm Width × 11.8 cm Height.
Elegant White & Gold Floral Design
Each patch features a detailed botanical arrangement with a prominent open flower surrounded by pointed leaves, a smaller flower bud and decorative lower foliage.
The predominantly white design gives the patches a clean and versatile appearance, while the gold-coloured embroidered accents bring out the finer details of the flowers and leaves. Gold stitching highlights the centre of the main flower, decorates the petals and runs through the surrounding foliage.
Different embroidery textures are used throughout the design, helping to give the flowers, leaves and stems additional depth and definition.
The white and gold colour combination works beautifully with many different fabric colours. Use the patches on black or navy material for strong contrast, on blue denim for a stylish decorative finish, or against white, cream and pastel fabrics for a softer coordinated appearance.
Coordinating Mirrored Pair
This set contains two opposite-facing flower patches, allowing them to be arranged symmetrically.
Place one on either side of the front of a jacket, cardigan or blouse, position them around a neckline, use one on each side of a bag, or arrange them together on the back of a garment.
Their tall floral shape also makes them particularly suitable for decorating trouser legs, skirt panels and the sides of dresses.
You don't have to use the two patches together. One could be used on a jacket or top while the second is added to a matching bag or accessory.
Ideal for Customising Clothing
These embroidered flowers are an easy way to personalise plain clothing or give an existing garment a completely different appearance.
They can be used on suitable denim jackets, jeans, trousers, dresses, skirts, shirts, blouses, tops, sweatshirts and other garments.
Try placing the pair on either side of the front of a denim jacket for an attractive symmetrical design. Alternatively, arrange both patches across the back of a jacket as part of a larger embroidered floral display.
On jeans or trousers, the elongated 11.8 cm height works well when the flowers are positioned vertically along the leg or near a pocket.
For dresses and skirts, position the patches near the hem with the flowers extending upwards to create the appearance of an embroidered floral arrangement growing across the fabric.
Great for Bags & Accessories
The patches aren't limited to clothing. They can also be used to personalise suitable textile accessories including tote bags, canvas bags, backpacks, fabric handbags, shoppers and craft bags.
Because they form a mirrored pair, they are particularly attractive when positioned on opposite sides of a bag. You could also place the flowers around lettering, initials or another central design.
The white and gold colour scheme can add a decorative finishing touch without overwhelming the original colour of the item.
Perfect for Crafts & Upcycling
Use these floral patches as part of sewing, textile craft and upcycling projects.
They are a simple way to transform an older jacket, pair of jeans or fabric bag into something more individual. Depending on the size and position, a patch may also be useful for decorating over certain small marks, unwanted logos or worn-looking areas.
Combine them with other embroidered flowers, butterflies, birds, hearts, stars, lettering or decorative motifs to create your own larger design.
They are suitable for custom clothing projects, dressmaking, costume making, textile crafts, sewing projects and creative upcycling.
How to Iron On
Before applying the patches, always check the care label of the garment or accessory. The fabric must be suitable for ironing and capable of safely withstanding the necessary heat.
Avoid ironing patches directly onto delicate, waterproof, coated or heat-sensitive materials. For these fabrics, sewing is the recommended application method.
1. Prepare the item: Make sure the fabric is clean, completely dry and free from creases. Place it on a firm, heat-resistant surface.
2. Position the patches: Arrange the flowers exactly where you want them. When using them as a pair, take a moment to check that the height, angle and spacing look balanced.
3. Heat the iron: Select an appropriate medium-to-high temperature for the fabric. Do not use steam.
4. Protect the embroidery: Cover the patch with a thin cotton cloth, pressing cloth or clean tea towel. Do not place the hot iron directly onto the decorative embroidery.
5. Apply heat: Press the iron firmly over the covered patch for approximately 20–30 seconds. Apply steady pressure rather than continually moving the iron backwards and forwards.
6. Heat from the reverse: If possible, turn the garment inside out and press the reverse side of the patch area for another 20–30 seconds.
7. Allow to cool: Leave the patch completely undisturbed until both the fabric and adhesive have cooled.
8. Check the edges: Once cool, gently check around the outside of the patch. If any area has not bonded securely, cover it again and repeat the heating process.
Iron temperatures and fabrics vary, so these timings are a general guide. Always prioritise the garment manufacturer's care instructions.
How to Sew On
The patches can also be sewn directly onto your chosen fabric.
Place the patch in the desired position and secure it temporarily with pins or suitable fabric clips. Using a thread that blends with the white embroidered border, make small, neat stitches around the outer edge.
Pay particular attention to the pointed leaves, curved stems and narrower sections of the design. Securing these areas will help the patch sit neatly and securely against the fabric.
For denim, canvas and other heavier materials, use a suitable strong needle and thread.
Iron On & Sew On for Extra Security
For suitable fabrics, you can combine both attachment methods.
Iron the patches into position first, allow them to cool completely and then add small stitches around the edges.
This can provide additional security on frequently worn or handled items such as jeans, jackets, trousers, backpacks and bags.
Creative Ways to Use Your White Flower Patches
The mirrored design offers plenty of possibilities.
Place one flower on either side of the front opening of a jacket for an elegant symmetrical arrangement. Position them around the neckline of a dress or blouse for decorative floral detailing.
Add one patch to each leg of a pair of jeans, or position both on a single leg to create a larger floral feature.
On a tote or canvas bag, place the patches on opposite sides to frame initials, lettering or another central motif.
For bridal, wedding or occasion-related craft projects, the white and gold colour combination can also work particularly well on suitable fabric accessories, decorative textile pieces or personalised bags.
Alternatively, split the pair and use one patch on clothing and the other on a coordinating accessory.
